CBG News

Our building permit was recently approved for The Easton, directly east of The Wescott.  We will commence our building process for this new, contemporary home next week.  Site excavation and foundation installation will go fast so look for this home to “come out of the ground” in the near future.

Demolition completed in Laurelhurst

We recently demolished the home at 4546 48th Ave NE and are underway with exporting debris and excavating the lot in anticipation of building another new Craftsman style home, The Burnaby.  Next we will be pouring the foundation and going vertical soon.  This 4000+ sq ft home will offer 3 stories of gorgeous design and attention to detail with 5/6 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, and a 2-car garage.  With the seamless transition from the great room to a covered outdoor living area, professional grade appliances, and expansive backyard, this home provides for limitless entertaining possibilities.

The Carlisle is structurally complete

The Carlisle is structurally complete now that the framers have finished and exterior doors and windows are installed.  This home invites you to enter through the grand entrance of double front doors with glass panels and double sidelights.  In addition, we installed sliding glass “walls” with four stacking panels that open to both of the covered outdoor living areas.  The lower level slider produces a 12 foot opening and the main level slider opens 10 feet wide.  These sliders will allow for a seamless transition from indoor to outdoor living and entertaining.  Siders are still working their way around the exterior of the home.  The next step of our construction process will consist of drywall installation and taping and texturing the walls in preparation for painting.

Siding at The Chadwick

The Chadwick is transitioning from a structure to a home now that all of the siding has been installed.  Last week we focused on hanging the sheetrock in the interior.  Now we are working to get all of the interior walls textured and taped in anticipation of painting.  Additionally, we are preparing for pouring the new driveway, apron, and curb.

5112 Framing

Framing completed in Washington Park

We recently completed framing our contemporary Craftsman home, The Carlisle, located at 1502 McGilvra Boulevard East.  One great aspect of this home design is that we installed a furnace in the main and upper floors as well as radiant heat under the lower level concrete slab. This combination system will allow the future homeowners to have dual zone climate control between floors with air circulation and filtration in addition to the benefit of walking on warm floors on those cold and rainy Seattle days. Plumbers and HVAC finished their rough-in work last week in addition to the installation of windows throughout the structure.  Electricians are still working on their rough-in.  The next step in our construction process will be installing doors and siding the home with a mixture of cedar shake, horizontal siding, and accent panels.
