September was spent working on pouring the foundation footing and walls. This was followed by spraying waterproofing on the foundation. We then installed a drain mat and downspouts as well as connected to the utilities. Since the foundation is complete, we can now focus our efforts on the framing process which will start next week. Once this is complete, we will begin installing all of the windows throughout the frame and roofers will get started.

The past month’s construction updates consisted of blowing in insulation, installing drywall, preparing the walls for paint, and installing the site-finished white oak hardwood floors. Our next steps will be installing the millwork/wainscoting and tile throughout the home. The Carlisle is turning out to be a spectacular home on a gorgeous Washington Park lot and we are still tracking to a completion date around the first of the year.

We have entered into the final stages of building The Chadwick, Chaffey Building Group’s first home in the charming Laurelhurst neighborhood. Landscapers finished installing the irrigation system and planting the various flowers, trees, and shrubs, including some stunning magnolia trees. The Jenn-Air® appliances are installed in the kitchen and we are preparing for the first finish coat on the site-finished red oak hardwood floors, and putting in the carpet. The next few weeks will be focused on completing the final stages, cleaning and detailing the home in anticipation of our upcoming Grand Opening event. We are very excited to finish this home and present our new addition to the Laurelhurst community, so be on the lookout for your invitation!
